Welcome to part two of our review of the Q3 2018 SAP SuccessFactors update.
Today’s set of articles include what most customers will no doubt consider to be the cornerstone in their SuccessFactors solution; Employee Central. Alongside this, we also have articles on the HR support solution that integrates with Employee Central, Employee Central Service Centre, and SAP Jam, the collaborative piping that supports communication in and around SuccessFactors.
James Clough looks back at the SAP SuccessFactors roadmap to see just how Employee Central is progressing now that the GDPR (European General Data Protection Regulation) is in full effect and SAP can refocus on core development. James runs through some of the integration enhancements and developments around workflow as well as covering the more user-visible updates such as the developments around organisation/position structures, localisation, global benefits, time & attendance and visas & permits. He wraps things up with a quick look at some of the updates relating to Employee Central Payroll.
Employee Central Service Centre
With no notable updates within Employee Central for Employee Central Service Centre, Stephen Millard scrutinises the changes being applied to Ask HR and SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer (C4C) – some of the key systems that deliver this solution. This time around, Ask HR includes some notable behaviour changes that every customer will want to be aware of. The C4C updates will generally be of more interest to administrators than other users; except that there is some important news about user interfaces that will affect all HR users of Employee Central Service Centre.
Karishma Neog examines the three main areas of change in this quarter’s SAP Jam release. These are ‘ecosystem transformation’ where SAP has been putting considerable effort into improving some of the configuration and house-keeping functionality, ‘administrative enhancements’ which have a much sought-after update relating to web domains, and a couple of useful ‘mobile enhancements’ for those who require access on the go.
